Perspective
So, this year we spent Christmas in Milwaukee. Of course, we decorate our house at the beginning of December and enjoy it then, but head off to Milwaukee around the 20th.

Well, my parents live in a big house with a family room with really high ceilings. The tree, to my parents' credit, was beautiful and large. I'm talking 10-12 feet high and fat, maybe twice what I'm used to. We all enjoyed it, and apprently, got used to it.

When we got home, Aspen said, "Did our Christmas tree get smaller!?" And rightfully so... Our tree, no slouch at 7.5 feet, appeared to me to be pulled right out of Charlie Brown's Christmas...

"She's going on our airplane"
Milwaukee's airport has a nice little play area for kids out near the gates. We fly on one of the little planes, so our gate, D52, has people going dozens of different places hanging around.

Well, Aspen befriended another little girl who was playing. They talked a bit and then Aspen came to talk to us.

She said, "Mommy, that girl is going to be on our plane."
Jenn asked, "How do you know?"
Aspen's response... "Because she said she was going home."

Another lyrics mix-up
I just got back from England. Among other things I did, I took the time to go to a football/soccer match. I went and saw Chealsea play Newcastle. It was very cool. So, I got the girls a little uniform to wear. (Chelsea FC)

Aspen was riding in the car listening to carols with her mother today and said, "Mommy, this song is about Daddy's soccer team!" The song?

Glo - o - o - o - o - o - - o - o - o - o - o -- o - o - o - o - o - ria in excelsis... (X - Chelsea?)

Happy Puppet
So, we've told you all on many occasions about the library story time here in Nashville. It's obviously had a great impact on my children's lives. This story actually takes place elsewhere, but it's important to know something about the library show. There are 3 main folks who perform and they each double as a puppet character as well. Library Pete plays the role of Tommy Dog.

One of our many Christmas CDs is a CD by the Veggie Tales that contains a song many of you have heard of. Aspen has been singing along quite loudly this year (or so Jenn tells me). The lyrics, as performed by Aspen...

Feliz Tommy-Dog. Feliz Tommy-Dog.
