So, last night, Aspen shows up in our room at about 5am. This happens occasionally. On every occasion, it's because she needs to go potty, and she does a fantastic job managing that.
She says, "Daddy, I need to go potty." And I say, "Go ahead, honey." She takes care of it, and generally can make it back to bed on her own.
On this occasion, I happened to fall back asleep only to be startled into consciousness by crying. I ran to the bathroom, and Aspen cried, "I don't have any panties..."
Interestingly enough, she was right. So, we went back downstairs and found them on her bed. It seems that she had taken off her pajama pants, removed the panties, replaced the pajama pants and come upstairs. When asked why she had done so, she replied, "They were slipping." Of course, she had forgotten she had taken them off, but it was still funny.
It was merely the first time that one of my children will be troubled by a wedgie.
