Talk of the Town

Check this out... so, you may know that our house was featured in a book recently. A local talk show wanted to interview the authors, and thought that a local home would be a great place. Well, as it worked out, that home was ours. So, in the end, we got a cool little video feature as well.

Lastly, I would like to apologize to Jenn's brother Doug. The last few seconds of this clip will crush him, as we will have risen to a level of importance that he can never match. Let me just say, Lelan is an idol to us all.

Aspen has requested that I note the passing of another tooth from her mouth. It departed this morning from her mouth, and she hopes it departs our home on the Tooth Fairy Express tonight.

We shall see.

The Journey Into Yeast

OK, so I typically post on the blog when I am proud of one of my girls... Tonight is no exception.

Jenn's been baking a lot lately, which I think is really cool. I think, though, that there was one frontier which she had yet to cross. Tonight, she ventured into the world of yeast.

While I can't yet comment on the taste, I can say with certainty that the results look pretty cool.

"I like the way he looks"

So, we were at the Dolphin Club last night... it was about 7:30 and we literally had the pool entirely to ourselves. I was hanging out with Oakley, and three of the lifeguards walked by.

Oakley: That's my favorite lifeguard.
Tim: Really? Which one?
Oakley (somewhat shyly): Don't worry about it.
Tim: What? Just tell me, Oakley, it's no big deal.
Oakley (shyly again): The boy.
Tim: Why is that?
Oakley (even more shyly): I like the way he looks.

I thought this was pretty funny. It was offset later, though, when she told Jenn she like the girl with the braids too. But it sure does start early, doesn't it?

The other night, I was reading to the girls before bed. I noticed that Oakley wasn't even really looking at the book. And she was kind of pursing her lips repeatedly... When questioned, she acknowledged that she was looking at me. And giving me kisses... How sweet is that?

An annual tradition in the Nana & Papa pool, swimmers taking flight. Oakley often finds a way to be a star, and she did it again here. Oakley's particular strength is her hands...
