Christmas is coming!

First of all, my apologies for the lack of posting... I've been keeping up with it to a degree, but our hosting provider has some issues at the moment. I'm sure this post is one of many that just arrived...

We had a great visit for Thansgiving from Jenni's family and my parents. Among the exciting things we did was the decoration of a Shrinky Dink Christmas tree. Here you can see Lindy (yes, she really is that old) working with Jenni (yes, she really is that young) on the tree.

Well, I'm, uh, famous. I was literally interviewed by the Tennessean for playing rec league hockey.

And here's the back. It is difficult to read, so I'll quote it here for you...

"You are the best daddy ever! I had a lot of fun this year with scooer[sic]! You were the best coach I ever had!

"I really like the bed you made for me and our play set! I love you very much! From Aspen! To daddy! 11-9-07"

Really, I think my daughter is amazing. While she might be prone to overstatement, I think her heart is so awesome to write something like this on her own. I'm awfully proud of my little girl.

How sweet is Aspen?

Check out this card that Aspen made me. Basically, I went on a long trip to California last week to go to a conference and also visit my sisters. On the way home, I called to check in on Jenn. She told the girls I was almost home, and they were clearly excited. Of her own free will, Aspen decided to go make a card for me, which is totally sweet. Here, you can see the front of the card.
